DESCRIPTION:The Laband Art Gallery proudly presents its Fall 2025 exhibition “Seeing Chicanx: The Durón Family Collection” on view from Sept. 25 to Dec. 6\, 2025. Exhibited during National Hispanic Heritage Month\, this expansive show presents a selection of nearly 50 Chicanx artists who have called Southern California their home. “Seeing Chicanx” is curated by Karen Mary Davalos\, a leading scholar of Chicana/o/x art history\, and drawn from the private collection of Armando and Mary Salinas Durón. The exhibition offers a multi-faceted portrayal of the Los Angeles region’s Chicanx art scene from the 1970s to present day. There will be complimentary deserts and light refreshments\, as well as mocktails and cocktails available for purchase at the bar. \nA weekly open mic night for anyone who’s got a song in their book or one in their heart. Everybody is welcome\, even if you’d rather just relax\, listen\, and have fun. Whether you’re polishing audition material\, test-driving a new piece\, or just need to sing with humans who get it\, Tunesday Nights at TCT is the place for you. An accompanist will be provided\, so bring your sheet music. Tunesday is your midweek artistic recharge.
